Eyebrow tinting is the process of colouring the brow hair with a vegetable-based dye mixed with a 3 percent peroxide to activate. If you have fine or transparent hair and are sick of filling in your brows every day, eyebrow tinting is an excellent option, as it offers both dimension and fullness, create a more defined shape and style, and keep a well-groomed brow.
Eyebrow tinting results last approximately 4-6 weeks. The colour will gradually fade, it does depend on your hair type, the type of beauty products you use, and how well you care for your brows.
Eyebrow Tinting Aftercare
- Avoid washing for at least 12 hours. You should also avoid excessive touching or rubbing for 24 hours to avoid irritation. Chlorine can also shorten the wear of your tint, so be wary if you’re a regular swimmer.
- Avoid exfoliating and Anti-ageing skincare for 3 days before and after the treatment. After that, avoid applying around the brow area to prevent premature colour fade.
- Avoiding fake tan for 3 days before and after eyebrow tinting treatment, which can react with the tint and leaving your brows a rather unwelcome shade.
Apply a brow gel to set them all day long. Beware that too much brushing can lift your tint and contribute to hairs falling out quicker than they should.
