MOLE

Moles appear as pigmented growths on the skin, many prefer MOLE beauty mark and the medical term for MOLE is melanocytic nevus.

Moles may be tan, brown, black, reddish brown, red, purple, or skin-colored. In terms of shape, some moles are raised, and most are flat.

WHAT CAUSES MOLES?

The genes we inherit from our parents, along with our amount of sun exposure especially during childhood are major factors in determining mole numbers. Many moles arise in the first years of life, the total number of moles typically peaks in the second or third decade of life to an average of 35. Most people do not develop new regular moles after the age of 30.

Skin with more sun exposure tends to have more moles. However, moles may also occur in sun-protected areas. Melanocytes are responsible for giving skin a natural tone. Excessive sun exposure can result in the darkening of existing moles, particularly during the teenage years and pregnancy.

AVAILABLE PROCEDURES

At Paramedical Beauty Clinic, we use various procedures to vaporize and remove moles with minimal to no scarring. Each procedure has different benefits and side effects depending on the type of mole and where it is situated also depend on your goals.

For moles with suspicious features that may suggest they are not benign, we strongly advise you to have your doctor examine any spot that is questionable and confirm what type of irregularity is it. If we find cause for concern, the mole may need to be removed by surgically cutting out.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU GET A MOLE REMOVED?

You may notice some tenderness in the treated area for the first 1-4 days after your mole removal. This is normal and typically subsides as the skin begins to heal. You should plan to keep the treatment site clean and followed the aftercare instruction.

WILL MOLE GROW BACK AFTER BEING REMOVED?

The chances of a mole growing back depend on which type of procedure you have. If a mole has been removed completely then it will not grow back. Surgical excision involves cutting out the mole together with a small border of the surrounding skin, This type of mole removal is permanent, if there is a risk of skin cancer then it is important to have this procedure.

if a mole removal is for cosmetic reason then you may want to consider other options instead. Even though there is a small chance that the mole could grow back, it can still be the best choice as it’s a simpler procedure with less risk of scarring.

WILL MOLE HAIRS GROW BACK?

The hair shaft often penetrates deeply within the dermis, many millimetres below the base of the mole. Often mole hairs can persist despite complete mole removal. This can be treated with laser hair removal

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO REMOVE A MOLE?

The cost varies depending on which procedure you choose, the size of the mole and site of the mole to be removed. The best way to find out about the price and procedure is to make a booking with one of our experts for the consultation.
